Care and social support from family and community in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in Pakistan

What is it about?

This study validates the use of the Medical Outcome Study-Social Support Survey (MOS-SSS) among TB patients in Pakistan. Findings suggest that TB patients need social care and support from families and communities along with standard medical treatment.this study suggests the need for a coordinated approach that not only includes clinical services to address this issue but also a strong social support system based on family and community necessary throughout the treatment process.
