Rehabilitation of cognitive deficits poststroke: protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials of non-pharmacological interventions

What is it about?

Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide. Deficits in cognition are common post stroke. These cognitive deficits can have unfavourable consequences such as a lower quality of life and higher healthcare costs. Often, there is an emphasis put on the physical rehabilitation of stroke survivors, with a neglect towards these often hidden cognitive deficits. We aim to explore all kinds of rehabilitation interventions which can improve cognitive deficits post stroke.
