Why is it important?

Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is common in childhood. Early intervention for children with behavioural problems may help improve their health and educational outcomes. This study describes a randomised controlled trial, which is an important way to assess the effectiveness of this kind of intervention.

Perspectives

As an economist, I am particularly interested in the opportunity to collect information about children's health-related quality of life and resource use. This way the findings of the study can be used to inform NHS spending decisions.
