Learning to be resilient and develop inner power

What is it about?

This article explains the concept of developing "inner power" using focus, authenticity and resilience to be able to keep motivated when the going gets tough.

Why is it important?

Martin Seligman's theory of Learned Helplessness highlighted how people can in effect, give up, when they feel they cannot escape an external stimulus. This paper looks at the opposite end of the spectrum with the concept of learning to be powerful and manage your inner state, so that you are more in control of a situation.
