Why is it important?

It is important to plan for controlling the curable causes of low vision and blindness, such as severe refractive errors and cataracts. In addition, in this study, these results are compared with those of similar studies in other countries.

Perspectives

Using the results of this study, along with other similar studies such as the Tehran Eye Study, will help to improve community health and achieve a more empowered society. We hope that health managers will use the results of such studies in planning community health interventions.
