An unusual cause of gastrointestinal bleed in patients with liver cirrhosis

What is it about?

Any cirrhotic patients presenting as upper GI bleed is not always due to varices or peptic ulcers. GIST can be a cause in some. Imatinib is a proven drug for GIST but its safety and efficacy is less known in cirrhosis of liver.
