What is it about?
People with epilepsy can have additional diagnoses such as anxiety, depression and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). In this study owners of dogs with and without epilepsy answered questions about their dogs' behaviour. We looked at the differences in behaviour of dogs with and without epilepsy, and also compared the behaviour of the same dogs before and after they developed epilepsy to see if their behaviour changed. The study summaries the results of these comparisons and compares it to findings in human epilepsy medicine.
