Why is it important?
Patients are already using health apps, but most of do not reach NHS standards, so doctors need to recommend the right products. Doctors do not use digital health products, apps and devices, which could improve care, because they don’t know about them.
Perspectives
Doctors need to know a lot about digital health solutions, but it is not included in medical curriculum or continuing professional development courses.
