What is it about?

JNKs are protein kinases that mediate intracellular changes in response to diverse stress and growth stimuli. But how can they do this? At the core of these signaling events are the interactions of JNKs with a diverse array of partner proteins. In this review, we assess the last 20 years of research on JNKs, highlighting the complex relationships of JNKs with these partner proteins.

Why is it important?

This review critically assesses the relationships between JNKs and their partner proteins. In addition to simplified summary figures that illustrate key points, the text is accompanied by comprehensive supplementary tables that summarise the current knowledge of JNK partner proteins.
