What is it about?

In this work, we demonstrated that DHX33 promotes protein translation, a key aspect in cell growth.

Why is it important?

protein translation is an essential cellular activity, its deregulation is associated with many kinds of human diseases, such as cancers and neurological diseases.

Perspectives

More research on functions of DHX33 is expected, especially translational control of specific mRNAs that could be selectively regulated by DHX33, DHX33 in relation to human diseases.
