What is it about?

Strep throat is a common infection that requires prompt medical attention to reduce symptoms and side effects. We evaluated a new DNA test that provides a more rapid and sensitive method to identify infected individuals than common methods currently In use.

Perspectives

New methods such as the test we evaluated are more sensitive and much faster than technologies commonly in use today. They allow doctors to effectively treat patients in a more timely manner and reduce the overuse of common antibiotics.
