What is it about?

We identified a protein-coding yeast gene, NAG1, nested within and antisense to another gene in the Saccharomyces cerevisiae genome. Nested and antisense DNA sequences are not annotated as genes typically, so the findings in this paper hold relevance towards the assumptions used to annotate eukaryotic genomes.
