What is it about?

Within a single infection assay, we have set a microscopical technique to measure both Listeria entry and vacuolar escape

Featured Image

Why is it important?

This is robust assay that allows now to make perturbations in host cells and determine whether these perturbations affect entry and/or vacuolar escape of Listeria

Perspectives

This technique may be used now to identify host factors that modulate the vacuolar stage of Listeria, either promoting bacterial translocation to the cytoplasm, or inhibiting translocation and favoring bacterial destruction within lysosome-related compartments
