Baicalin reported in the paper is th first natural product in the world against Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli infections.
Perspectives
The aim of out team is to identify new leading compounds from natural products against severe infections caused by drug-resistant bacterial strains. In future, we will focus on the Shiga like toxin II and its inhibitors. The inhibitors will be tested for pre-clinic research.
