What is it about?

Leishmaniasis is neglected tropical disease but with a huge impact on affected populations. Current drugs are aggressive with side effects and some with increasing parasites resistance. We have shown with preliminary studies the potential of a group of compounds- peroxides- that could be considered for anti-leishmanial chemotherapy.
