Perspectives

One of the authors (Bal Ram Singh) has background in Ayurveda, the traditional herbal medicine system of India. The idea of using natural products originated from there, and led to the contacts with colleagues at the Chemistry department in Delhi University. The lead author (Kruti Patel) was excited to try the system of herbs for drug development for her PhD dissertation.
