What is it about?

In this paper we showed for the first time the synthesis of a new type of materials, based on Tröger’s based (TB) formation. The resulting microporous polymers (PIMs) showed high solubility in common organic solvent and displayed very high molecular masses, feature that allowed us to cast thin films that were tested for gas permeation experiments. The obtained results proved this polymerisation as a big step forward for the field of membranes for gas separation
