What is it about?

The development of asymmetric synthetic methods requires optimization of a variety of reaction parameters. It has become routine to run hundreds of reactions in parallel but the comprehensive analysis of yield, ee and absolute configuration remains time consuming. We have now developed a chiroptical method that overcomes this bottleneck by using only mg amounts of crude reaction mixtures.

Why is it important?

The development of asymmetric reactions is a top priority in numerous academic and industrial laboratories. Our findings now show that parallel reaction screening can be time efficient and allows reduction of waste and costs when a readily available chiroptical chemosensor is used.
