Why is it important?
Current evidence supports high success with RTP rates up to 100% after nonoperative treatment of grade 1 UCL injuries in professional baseball players and between 66% and 94% for a grade 2 and above.
Perspectives
Nonoperative treatment for partial UCL injuries in professional baseball players can be a difficult decision to make but this appraisal helps support conservative treatment which can give confidence to professional baseball players who do not wish to undergo surgery and lose play time.
