What is it about?
Here, we investigated whether sound and light conditions may cause changes in water flea swimming speed and depth behaviour, all potentially affecting predation risk.

Why is it important?
There is a growing number of studies that show anthropogenic noise effects on animals, but few also take light conditions into account.
Perspectives
We can study changes and combinations in multiple modalities and measure effects on invertebrate prey (such as water fleas), vertebrate predators (such as fishes), and the effects on predator-prey interactions.
