Why is it important?
This investigation rescues the Photoliptophone from oblivion and compares it with the Selenophone to understand the characteristics of each one. The Photoliptophone offered an advantage that remains innovative today; a means of mass distribution at low cost through sound pages printed in newspapers.
Perspectives
An important perspective that can be given from the dissemination of this research is to help rescue more sound pages. A lot of recordings have been made by Photoliptophone but we only have a few. If they were found more we could bring them to life as it was done with the found ones.
