What is it about?
Prediction of the flow-induced sound is a challenging problem. We have shown the numerical analysis of flow-induced sound produced by finite-length circular cylinders in crossflow.

Why is it important?
It is anticipated that this numerical work could throw some light upon the flow-induced sound mitigation mechanisms.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long-standing collaborations. This article also lead to aeroacoustics groups contacting me and ultimately to a greater involvement in active/passive flow noise control research.
