What is it about?

we Designed assembled ad tested a fuel cell stack that operates at 120°C with hydrogen reach fuels. With respect to conventional NAfion membrane this fuel cell can reach considerable higher operating temperature!

Why is it important?

Increasing the operating temperature of a fuel cell we can reduce the poisoning of the catalyst due to the use of non pure hydrogen.

Perspectives

Nafion modified membrane could be an alternative in "high temperature" PEM by improving CO tolerance of the electrocatalyst even at lower tempertaure (130°C)
