What is it about?
The author investigates the use, the extent and the risks of non-standard forms of employment in Greece during the crisis 2010-2017. Much of the recovery of labor market indicators observed during 2015-2017 was due to the growth of non-standard employment at the expense of permanent and stable employment.

Why is it important?
The study is of interest as it reflects the segmentation of the Greek labor market. Greece is an example where the policy reforms have focused primarily on promoting a “unilateral” version of flexicurity. This has brought to light key risks associated with job loss on lower paid workers.
Perspectives
The study will participate in the contemporary discussion about the role, and the necessity to prevent non standard forms of employment from becoming a substitute of full employment
