Nurses describe various challenges when implementing digital eHealth systems and services in primary health care to support patients´self-managment.

Why is it important?

Our findings show that digitised systems should be a tool for achieving good quality self-management support as well as giving the primary healthcare nurses adequate resources to support patients’ self-management while still maintaining the values associated with person-centred care.

Perspectives

This study is part of a larger project aimed at implement person-centred interactive self-management support (iSMS) in regular primary health care.
