What is it about?
Patterns abound in nature. There are "universal" features for patterns that come up in various physical systems, so there are general mathematical ideas for studying pattern formation that are agnostic about the particular details of the system that forms the patterns. We look at whether these ideas can shed light on the "dark universe".
