The impact of remittances in selected African countries

What is it about?

In this study, we opine that the impact of remittance in recipient African countries (which we termed Africa's money in Africa) will be enhanced when there is strong institutional quality and coupled with a viable financial sector. This will reduce the probability of “financial prodigality” that might be associated with remittance.

Why is it important?

It is among the few and early empirical studies in Africa on the impact of remittance on the economy that relates the institutions and financial system.
