Why is it important?
First large scale inclusive survey of plant parasitic nematodes in Northern Ireland. Identifies current species and population levels in agricultural land. Shows a marked increase in several pest species compared to past reports and notably identifies a new emerging pest species (Meloidogyne minor) in multiple locations.
