What is it about?

Erythromelanosis follicularis faciei et colli is a skin condition characterized by a triad of hyperpigmentation, erythema and follicular papules on face and neck. It has been rarely reported by physicians.

Why is it important?

Our study described clinical and epidemiological features of 25 patients of EMFFC so that physicians can recognise this entity and treat it properly. Many times this condition gets missed by physicians feeling it to be just a simple pigmentation over the face and/or neck especially in Indian skin where its difficult to diagnose.

Perspectives

Writing this article was a great experience for me and authors. Collecting patients data over years and always looking for pigmentation over face and neck has been interesting.
