Perspectives
Learning new software through the proposed methods is not just a rote educational experience but becomes meaningful to the nurses, who learn about and understand their current real-world workflow and how to integrate EHR in practice during the EHR training in the laboratory. Their procedural understanding of using EHR may help them make changes to the current workflow to optimize the use of EHR in their workplace. The healthcare industry is adopting healthcare technologies and promoting their meaningful use. The pedagogy used in this training might increase the adoption rate of healthcare technologies and decrease users’ frustration with them.
