Shoot thermosensors do not fulfil the same function in the root

What is it about?

We tested the hypothesis that shoot thermosensors also control the growth of the root. Based on mutant phenotypes and cellular dynamics we reject the hypothesis, concluding that root and shoot use different temperature sensing mechanisms.
