What is it about?
Plant pathogens are a major driver of ecosystem composition and function, and have large effects on agricultural productivity, but how they may respond to climate change and land-use intensification is unclear. Here we show that plant community composition is the primary driver of both composition and richness of pathogens, suggesting that climate and land-use change will primarily impact pathogens indirectly via changes in plant communities.
