What is it about?

Flies are the second largest group of pollinators after bees, but little is known about the effect of their vision on the evolution of flower colour. By understanding how flies discriminate colours we have identified different patterns of flower colour evolution depending on the presence or absence of other insect pollinators with different colour vision.
