What is it about?

There is current debate on how soil sample pooling affects measurement of reciprocal interactions between plants and soil (plant-soil feedbacks). We used a meta-analysis of 71 experiments to show that there is no evidence that soil sample pooling systematically biases estimates of the direction, magnitude, variance, and drivers of plant-soil feedbacks.
