What is it about?

Tiller angle is one of the most important agronomic traits for achieving ideal plant architecture and thus higher grain yields. In this study, we identified a novel rice tiller angle control gene LAZY2, which is indispensable for starch biosynthesis in rice gravity-sensing cells, providing new insights into the regulatory network of rice tiller angle.
