What is it about?

Tropical forests play a key role in the global carbon cycle, in which major greenhouse gases (GHG) such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide can be emitted and consumed by trees and soils. In our study, we propose a way to better estimate GHG fluxes in these two specific compartments and, thus help understanding the dynamic process by which GHG circulate between the soil, trees and atmosphere in tropical forests.
