Suberin deposition in potato periderm: a novel resistance mechanism against tuber greening

What is it about?

Light-induced greening of tubers is one of the most important quality defects of potato and is responsible for substantial food wastage worldwide. We show that resistance to tuber greening is primarily associated with suberin content in the tuber skin.
