JMJ14 encoded H3K4 demethylase modulates immune responses by regulating defence gene expression and pipecolic acid levels

What is it about?

JMJ14, a plant regulator protein, was previously known to regulate flowering time. We have found its new role in regulating pathogen defense. These findings reveals that plant developments and defense share common regulatory elements that can be used to engineering novel traits in crop plants.
