What is it about?
CC- and TIR-NLRs are the major intracellular immune receptors of plants. We found that multiple TIR-NLRs require 'helpers' from the conserved NLR clade 'NRG1'. In fact, all the TIR-NLRs tested (an also some CC-NLRs) signal at least partially via NRG1.
