Rice with reduced stomatal density conserves water and has improved drought tolerance under future climate conditions

What is it about?

Rice is a very important food crop which is predicted to be adversely affected by climate change. We show that by reducing stomatal density we can make rice plants more drought tolerant that can still perform at temperatures up to 40 degrees Celsius.
