What is it about?
Leaves at differently developmental stages may have differential responses to virus infection, while host factors essential for virus replication or host resistance may be identical among different tissues. We test this theory using maize-Sugarcane mosaic virus pathosystem by comparative proteomic analysis and virus-induced gene silencing technology on two systemically infected leaves undergoing differently developmental stages.
