It is important to identify factors related to postpartum depression in order to make appropriate plans for screening and management of prospective cases for developing this health problem which may inadvertently affect a woman and her newborn's health

Learning about the factors that place a woman as risk for developing postpartum depression whether demographic of socio-cultural will enable health care providers in considering these in their instructional and health care planning
