What is it about?

The education is a tool used for placement of leads for a spinal cord stimulator

Why is it important?

Prior to the advent of the Epiducer, a physician could only place cylindrical octrode leads which might not help with covering the entire area of the patient's pain with completely opening up the spine and performing an open spine operation. A physician can now use the Epiducer and place paddle leads in the epidural space for spinal cord stimulation without performing a full laminectomy. The paddle leads tend to cover a larger surface are for spinal cord stimulation, thereby giving patients possibly more pain relief.now have pain physician can 2 Octrades or even paddle leads without the need for lamiectomy .

Perspectives

I am able to place paddle leads with having to have the patient undergo a major surgery, with the Epiducer. This will reduce patient risk and provide greater relief. I have preformed this procedure many times and many helpful ways to use this tool should any problem occur.
