De novo analysis of the transcriptome of Pratylenchus zeae

What is it about?

Knowing genes that are expressed by a parasite during its interaction with a host is an important step to understanding how it can be controlled. For example important genes required for the parasites' s colonisation of host, its development and growth can be switched off using methods such as RNA interference. This paper analyses genes expressed the root lesion nematode Pratylenchus species which infects major cereals such as wheat and other important crops.
