This study tested how adult second language learners at different proficiency were affected by verb semantics in their use of constructional knowledge.

Why is it important?

We expect that our findings help to better understand the roles of verbal semantics during construction usage in second language sentence comprehension as well as offering useful information when developing materials for teaching English argument structure constructions to second language learners.
