What is it about?
The Che2 chemosensory proteins from Pseudomonas aeruginosa form an Aer2-mediated complex near the cell pole. Aer2 senses oxygen, which promotes a phosphorylation cascade that results in CheY2/CheD interaction. In the absence of oxygen, Aer2 does not signal and CheD is freed from CheY2 to augment Aer2 methylation and enhance Aer2 signaling.
