What is it about?

Efflux pumps embedded in cell envelop plays vital roles for bacteria in the fluctuant environment. We show for the first time a unique protein mediates the sophisticate balance of different efflux pumps. This finding unveils the mechanism for the tolerance shift of chemicals, which may inspire alternative treatment for antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
