What is it about?
Flagellar motor reversals are crucial for bacterial chemotaxis and navigation during swimming. We identified and characterised a novel protein component, ZomB, which is absolutely crucial for such motor reversals in a range of bacteria and may allow these species to tune chemotaxis efficiency.
