What is it about?

Candida albicans causes mucosal and blood stream fungal infections with high rate of morbidity and mortality. In this study, we have shown that TLS by CaRad30 plays a vital role in C. albicans genome stability and azole drug tolerance. For UV/cisplatin induced filamentation, CaRad30 plays a vital role and functions downstream to RAD53 kinase. TLS-independent function of CaPol also plays a crucial role in serum induced morphogenesis and amphotericin drug resistance.
