What is it about?
Our results show that accreditation impacts on 9 categories of processes, from governance to data collection and monitoring, to Continuous Quality Improvement. Given their nature, these processes are likely associated with improved quality of medical education.

Why is it important?
There is greater emphasizes placed on accreditation of medical schools worldwide. Accreditation costs are significant for medical schools. These results help justify the costs and provide evidence that accreditation works at improving the quality of medical education.
Perspectives
This study contributes to the scholarly work on accreditation; it is a pretty narrow niche and I am glad to be part of it.
